At Pfizer, his research involved seeking new therapeutic agents for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders and also asthma. He served as Chairman and Member of Global Advisory Board of Bilcare Ltd. He has been an Independent Director of Neurogen Corp. since February 2008. He serves as a Director of Vedanta; serves as Chairman of the Board of Gelesis. He has been a Director of Ligand Pharmaceuticals Incorporated since February 7, 2011. Taylor at Princeton University, a Ph.D. from UNH in Organic Chemistry in 1975, and graduated cum laude from Boston College in 1971 with a B.S. in Chemistry.
