As Unit Head of Institutional Recovery Management from 1981 to 1984, he was responsible for a number of major corporate restructurings in the United States, Europe and Latin America. He was named Corporate Bank Head in Venezuela in 1984. Mr. Bermudez returned to New York in 1986 as the Head of Risk for the Corporate Banking Division in North America. In 1990, he assumed responsibility for Global Asset Redeployment and Equity Investments. In 2000, he started Citibank's e-Business, which Global Finance magazine ranked as Best Internet Bank in 2002, 2003 and 2004. He was named Head of Credit Policy Committee for Latin America in 1988. He joined Citigroup's Management Committee. He has been a Director of Moody's Corp. since April 19, 2011. Mr. Bermudez served as Director of Citibank NA from 2005 to 2008. He served as Director of Mays Business School Development Council at Texas A&M University since 2003. He served as Member of the Board of MasterCard International, LAC from 2002 to 2004 and a member of the Boards of Directors for Association De Bancos Argentinos (ADEBA) from 1994 to 1996, FEMSA Group (Mexico) from 1988 to 1993, Siembra (Argentina) from 1993 to 1997 and the Northfield Children's Center from 1990 to 1993. Mr. Bermudez studied Graduate and Undergraduate Degrees from Texas A&M University.
