Background

Mr. Michael Eisenberg is a General Partner at Benchmark Capital. Mr. Eisenberg works in Benchmark Capital’s Israel office. Mr. Eisenberg joined the firm on June 9, 2005 and manages the investment of the $250 million raised for the Benchmark Israel II fund. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Partner at Israel Seed Partners for eight years since July 1997. Mr. Eisenberg also served as the President of Investment Banking at Jerusalem Global, where he was responsible for ... managing the Investment Banking Group from 1995 to 1997. While at the firm, he completed numerous private placements for Israeli technology companies in the Internet, software, and communications areas. In addition, Mr. Eisenberg initiated and was the primary liaison for the firm’s partnership with Montgomery Securities and was also the primary liaison with the U.S. venture capital community. He has been a key figure in Internet and software investing in Israel since 1995, playing a central role in the development of many of Israel’s leading companies and startups. Throughout Mr. Eisenberg’s career, he has focused on software and Internet infrastructure and investments for early stage companies. He was ranked No. 1 on the Forbes Israel Midas List. Mr. Eisenberg serves as a Director of Finjan Software and Conduit Ltd. He has been a Director of Seeking Alpha Ltd since September 12, 2006 and serves as the Chairman of Compensation Committee. Mr. Eisenberg has been an Independent Director of Gurunet Corp. since June 2004. He serves as a Director of Gigya Inc. Mr. Eisenberg served as a Director of Israel Operations at Marttila and Kiley Inc. from 1993 to 1995. He served as a Director of Funtactix Inc.
