Mr. David J. Gilbert has been the Chief Investment Officer of Clarion Partners Americas LLC since 2010 and serves as its Head of Acquisitions and Member of Executive Board. Mr. Gilbert joined Clarion Partners in 2007 with responsibility for global opportunistic investing. He is responsible for overseeing the development of the global opportunity business from New York. He is also responsible for Partners Americas's Research and Investment Strategy Group, ensuring that ... research is fully integrated into all phases of the investment process. Mr. Gilbert serves as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of ING Real Estate's new global opportunity platform at ING Clarion Partners LLC. He is responsible for overseeing the development of the new business. Mr. Gilbert has over 25 years of real estate finance and investment management experience. He has extensive experience in real estate investment management including three years managing and restructuring CalPERS’ $8 billion real estate portfolio. He was General Partner for J.P. Morgan Partners, LLC. He was responsible for the Real Estate group. Mr. Gilbert served as Vice President of Real Estate Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan & Company. He joined J.P. Morgan Partners LLC's real estate division in 1998. He served as the Global Head of Real Estate for JP Morgan Partners and California Public Employees' Retirement System. He serves as Co-Chairman of the Peabody Fund. He serves as a Director of Spirit Realty Capital, Inc. He served as a Director of the Pension Real Estate Association and the Urban Land Institute. He is a Member of the Pension Real Estate Association and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Gilbert holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from University of Massachusetts in 1979 and an M.B.A. in Real Estate Finance from Wharton School University of Pennsylvania.
