Berkshire Bank, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hills Bancorp, has announced the opening of its new Dalton branch at 488 Main Street. The new location offers more space within the branch and features a drive-up teller, an ATM drive-up and walk-up, and more convenient parking with the same friendly staff. The Dalton office will be managed by branch officer, Dana Robb. The Dalton Branch offers a network of financial services including personal and business banking, consumer lending, Berkshire Insurance Group, and Berkshire Wealth Management.

On June 27, 2014, Lawrence A. Bossidy retired from the Boards of Directors of Berkshire Bank, effective immediately. On June 27, 2014, William J. Ryan was appointed as Chairman of the Boards of Directors of the Bank. Mr. Ryan previously served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of TD Banknorth Inc. from 1989 through 2007. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unum Group and is a member of the Board of Directors of Wellpoint Inc.

Berkshire Bank has promoted Lori Gazzillo to the position of vice president and director of the Berkshire Bank Foundation. She has served for the past year as the Foundation's Assistant Director. Gazzillo has assumed the Foundation's key leadership role with the retirement of Peter Lafayette as former Director after eight years of service on December 31, 2013. Lafayette will continue in an advisory capacity. Gazzillo joined Berkshire Bank in July
2011 from Legacy Banks after Berkshire Bank and Legacy joined together. While at Legacy, Gazzillo served as vice president, community relations where she was responsible for overseeing the company's charitable giving, marketing and public relations activities. Along with her position with the Bank's Foundation, she has also been Assistant vice president of community relations/CRA officer. Gazzillo serves on the Board of Directors of the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce, Multicultural BRIDGE and Berkshire Business and Professional Women. In her new position, Gazzillo will oversee the Bank's two Foundations, which provide grants to non-profit organizations in the communities served by Berkshire Bank.
