Pershing LLC Key Developments

Pershing LLC Announces the Next Generation of its Block Trading and Rebalancing Tool for Advisor-Directed Programs

Pershing LLC announced the next generation of its block trading and rebalancing tool delivered through its technology platform NetX360 which offers a series of new capabilities for advisors. The improvements will enable advisors to run drift reports at the household level, create models of models and utilize a new cash rebalancing feature. It will also allow advisors to take advantage of an improved restriction management module that provides a holistic review of all restrictions for an advisor's business. With these improved features, the tool continues to deliver a full array of functionality to help improve transparency, minimize errors and improve advisor efficiency. The tool, powered by FolioDynamix, allows advisors to maintain models, rebalance an unlimited number of accounts, add/trim security positions, liquidate accounts and/or process security replacements, in a transparent environment. This functionality applies to a variety of securities including equities, options, mutual funds and fixed income. Prior to execution, Pershing validates all allocations against its Rules Engine to ensure all orders are compliant with the rules set by the introducing broker-dealer/advisor, which eliminates post-trade correction. Also included in the Rules Engine validation are mutual fund order checks, such as fund cut-off times, fund minimums and short-term redemption fees. Firms can be fully operational and using the updated tool in fewer than two weeks. Home offices and advisors have access to a dedicated Pershing support team to assist with on boarding. Additional features of the block trading and rebalancing tool include: automatic creation of block orders, real-time allocations, positions and balance updates and trailing stop orders.

Pershing LLC Introduces Next Generation Managed Investments Platform

Pershing LLC has launched new, integrated, next generation managed investments platform available through NetX360. A key attribute of the new platform is its ability to accommodate firms that custody with Pershing as well as firms that use other custodians. In addition to the new multi-custodial capabilities, the platform provides a comprehensive suite of tools, including client risk profiling, portfolio analytics, model management, wealth reporting and business intelligence that will help firms and their advisors to be competitive in marketplace and to accelerate the growth of their managed investments business. As the shift to an advisory model continues to grow, the Pershing Managed Investments Platform provides advisor tools to assist in meeting the needs of investors in a scalable way with maximum efficiency. A number of market forces have converged to enhance the availability of managed investments for investors. These factors include a shift from commission to fees, scalability made possible by technology advancements, changing service and investment models, the growth of the mutual fund wrap business, and a strong demand for financial advice from investors. The convergence of these trends has influenced and informed the construction of Pershing's platform. The main features of the platform include: multi-custody capabilities; intuitive proposal generation system; advisor model management; wealth reporting through integration with Albridge, a Pershing affiliate; access to big data and business intelligence metrics; and integration. For RIAs and broker-dealers who custody with Pershing, the managed investments platform is available through NetX360, Pershing's technology platform for advisors and RIAs. These clients are able to seamlessly access and service their retail and managed accounts through a single, integrated experience. Additionally, the platform's multi-custody capability allows large financial institutions that either self-clear or leverage an alternative clearing provider with the opportunity to develop a customized managed account platform, integrated into their firm's advisor workstation. The platform allows advisors to create comprehensive investment proposals for their clients and prospects. They can incorporate multiple managed investment solutions into a single proposal, include investment proposals that communicate potential benefits, and deliver these to the client in one fully-integrated document. The platform allows advisors to act as a portfolio manager, constructing and adjusting models as necessary. It also provides enhanced risk management tools that let home offices establish guidelines to ensure each client is invested properly based on their risk appetite. Albridge wealth reporting gives advisors the tools to track portfolios and customize reports seeking to provide value to the investor. Advisors can deliver smarter and more cost-effective investment advice via access to real-time data and a 360-degree view of a client's investment portfolio. Perhaps the most compelling aspects of these new features are that they are fully integrated into the core NetX360 advisor workstation, providing significant efficiencies for advisors and their staff in managing books of business.

Pershing LLC Enhances NetX360(R) Platform with Additional Third-Party Technology Integrations

Pershing LLC announced several enhancements to NetX360(R), its technology platform for advisors. NetX360 now offers additional integrations with two popular portfolio management and rebalancing solutions Blaze Portfolio and Portfolio Pathway. Also, as part of its client onboarding solution, NetX360 now provides Laser App(R) forms management and configuration tools. In addition to these integrations, users of the NetX360 can now directly access Ebix Smart Office customer relationship management (CRM) software via a single sign-on process. It's deeper integration with rebalancing and trading solutions from Blaze Portfolio and Portfolio Pathway will allow advisors to leverage straight through processing between Pershing's platform and their chosen modeling and rebalancing solution for equities and mutual funds. Importing and exporting files between these platforms and NetX360, which was formerly a manual process, is now automated and seamless, enabling advisors to spend less time managing rebalancing and trading operations. Through a strategic relationship with Laser App, the industry leader in forms management, and configuration tools available in new account opening platform, Pershing is also delivering a more efficient forms management solution for clients. The Laser App integration enables firms to: Quickly add, delete, or change custom forms to support their new account onboarding process. Define new account forms rules (which forms are mandatory and/or optional based on registration type). More effectively control the amount of data that is required in order to submit new account applications. Customize the new account opening user interface for their advisors via a robust configuration tool.
