CHI St. Luke's Health has named David Argueta as its president and CEO for its Woodlands' operations. Argueta now oversees the health system's The Woodlands Hospital, Lakeside Hospital and the Springwoods Village facility, expected to be completed in late 2015. Argueta previously served as COO for The Woodlands Hospital and then took the interim president role in July.

Catholic Health Initiatives has named Michael Covert as CEO for the CHI St. Luke's Health market. Covert, currently serving as president and CEO at Palomar Health in San Diego. Covert will start with CHI St. Luke's in August, replacing Deborah Lee-Eddie, who has served as regional market CEO on an interim basis since January 2014.
St. Luke's Episcopal Denies Sale Rumors

St. Luke's Episcopal Health System has denied the rumors circulating regarding its sale. St. Luke's President, David Fine said, “A rumor last week says St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital will be sold to a Middle East government intending to open an Islamic hospital that will require all female employees to be veiled. Other rumors say there is already a done deal with either Methodist or Memorial Hermann hospitals. No aspect of any of these three rumors is accurate.”
