King & Spalding recruited former U.S. Food and Drug Administration official Quynh T. Hoang as a senior regulatory consultant in the FDA and life sciences practice of its Washington, D.C., office. Hoang, a 24-year veteran of the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health, retired from the agency last month as chief of neurodiagnostic and neurosurgical devices branch of the neurological and physical medicine devices division. Hoang will advise clients on premarket approval strategies, de novo classifications, reclassifications, investigational device exemptions, combination products and appeals from adverse agency decisions.

Thomas Gray Joins King & Spalding in Silicon Valley

King & Spalding has recruited intellectual property partner Thomas J. Gray, who for many years was co-leader of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's trade secrets sub-group, to enhance the firm's patent and trade secret litigation team in Silicon Valley. Gray focuses on complex intellectual property litigation and counseling with an emphasis on patent litigation, internet-related matters and trade secret litigation. Stansbury joins King & Spalding from Squire Patton Boggs. Stansbury focuses her practice on regulatory matters before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U. S. Department of Agriculture, Federal Trade Commission and other federal and state regulatory agencies.
