WellDog Pty Ltd Receives $16.5 Million Gauge Contracts
May 7 14
WellDog Pty Ltd. announced that leading coal seam gas companies have awarded it approximately $16.5 million in contracts to supply and install its aquifer monitoring and gas production optimisation downhole gauge systems. WellDog's AquaTracker systems are used to monitor aquifer water levels around coal seam gas developments, are typically deployed to monitor multiple aquifers in a single well, and can be retrieved during well life to service and upgrade sensors as required. PressureTuner systems provide fluid level monitoring capabilities in production wells and can deliver autonomous control of artificial lift systems to maximize hydrocarbon production, while protecting pump assets and avoiding pressure shock to coal seams. Both AquaTracker and PressureTuner systems are available in a variety of flexible and scalable system architectures, enabling cost effective, rugged, and tailored solutions that are fit-for-purpose for each operator's needs.
WellDog Launches Australian Downhole Pressure Gauge Product Line in US
Mar 24 14
WellDog has launched its Australian-developed downhole pressure gauge product line in the US. The company's move to export technical products that it has developed in Australia was commencing through work contracts with a number of US shale oil and gas producers. The company's Australian group had developed its downhole gauge systems over the past three years in collaboration with Australian coal seam gas operators including Arrow Energy and BG-QGC.
Baker Hughes and WellDog Collaborate to Launch New Aquifer Monitoring Systems
Feb 26 14
WellDog announced that it has partnered with Baker Hughes once again to produce a new permanent multi-zone AquaTracker(TM) pressure sensor system suitable for monitoring aquifer water levels. The new systems can be retrieved and serviced during use, if required, providing customers additional assurance that their long term downhole monitoring needs will be met economically. WellDog has applied its expertise to ensure these monitoring systems are compliant with the Queensland Water Act of 2010. The Company is installing multi-zone completions, configured to specification for coal seam gas customers in eastern Australia. Both WellDog and Baker Hughes are building stock levels at WellDog's facility in Roma to locally support customers of the new product. WellDog's AquaTracker sensor systems detect small movements of water between different geological zones, including coal seams and water aquifers, allowing customers to carefully and accurately monitor fluid displacement and cross zone communication in real time during natural gas development activities. WellDog installs AquaTracker sensor systems in a variety of architectures customized to subsurface stratigraphy and monitoring needs.
