Cargill has introduced soybean oil made from identity-preserved, or IdP, conventionally-bred, non-genetically modified crops, or non-GM, soybeans. The oil is refined in Cargill's Des Moines, Iowa, plant in a process certified by SGS.

Cargill Invests $100 Million in Russia Starches and Sweeteners Facility

Cargill has invested $100 million in its Starches and Sweeteners facility in Efremov, Russia with upgrades to its wheat processing plant and the addition of new equipment and technology. The company said the plant will process 500,000 tonnes/year of wheat, almost doubling its original capacity, and will create additional market opportunities for farmers in the Tula region of Russia.

Cargill Launches IngreVita, a New Omega-3 Oil Blend

IngreVita, a new oil blend from Cargill, is a low-cost, easy-to-use ingredient that can help food manufacturers boost the nutritional benefits of their products. IngreVita, a blend of high oleic canola oil, fish oil and proprietary antioxidants, delivers long-chain omega-3s (EPA and DHA), essential nutrients that play an important role in heart health and brain development. Because handling of the product is similar to canola oil, it is easy to use. It offers good shelf stability and does not introduce off-flavors.
