Silanis Technology Inc. Key Developments

Silanis Technology Launches Secure Mobile E-Signature App for Government

Silanis Technology announced at the Federal Mobile Computing Summit in Washington, DC that it has launched the first iOS mobile app specific to government users. Called e-Sign for Government, the app enables civilian and military personnel to e-sign and approve forms, task orders, requisitions, contracts and more on a mobile device using a Common Access Card (CAC), Personal Identity Verification (PIV) smart card or derived credentials. For government organizations where privacy and security of data is part of the daily routine, smart card IDs are a common way to manage access to both online and physical resources. Along with the e-signature deployment ever (1.6 million Army personnel), over 500 government organizations, including the entire Joint Chiefs of Staff and the General Services Administration, have standardized on Silanis' electronic signatures to sign documents for nearly a decade. Prior to this announcement, completing the signing process often required being connected to a workstation or to the web. Now, as government workers are increasingly mobile, there is a need to easily and securely complete processes on-the-go using tablets or phones, particularly in environments with limited or no connectivity and bandwidth. The launch of e-Sign for Government enables field or on-site approval and authorization of time-sensitive agreements and transactions, simply and securely without being tethered to a workstation, speeding up the time it takes to complete tasks.

Calyx Software Uses Silanis Technology's e-SignLive e-Signature Service to Built INK-it Electronic Signatures

Silanis Technology announced a relationship with Calyx Software(R). Calyx has built INK-it(TM), an electronic signature solution that works with Calyx's Document Management System and WebCaster(R). The INK-it functionality uses Silanis' e-SignLive(TM) e-signature service, and is available to users of Calyx Point(R) and PointCentral(R), who also use WebCaster, a borrower facing website product. INK-it will provide the ability to electronically process documents faster and more conveniently through its seamless integration into Calyx's Document Management System. This combined solution functions as a document management, e-consent and electronic signature solution in one. This enables Calyx customers to receive, sign and process their documents requiring only e-consent, e-consent and e-signing or both through a Calyx-branded platform.

AAA Carolinas Signs Up for E-Signature Offering by Silanis Technology

Silanis Technology announced its selection by AAA Carolinas to implement electronic signatures for the company's auto insurance applications. The insurance company had been using electronic signatures in a limited capacity for over a year, and decided to switch to Silanis e-SignLive in order to achieve maximum adoption and recognize the full benefits of electronic applications with e-signatures. With AAA Carolinas' previous manual paper process, it took over a week to mail out auto insurance applications, wait for the returned documents by mail or fax and then scan applications back into the imaging system. If one of the three to seven required signatures was missing, the process began again. Staff then filed hard copies of the applications in case of audit. By automating the new business process, AAA Carolinas will see a significant increase in agent productivity and a decrease in paper-related costs, including couriers and storage. AAA Carolinas has rolled out electronic signatures to all its divisions, beginning with claims submissions.
