hapag-lloyd announced the enhanced service network between Japan and South East Asia /Port rotation includes four Japanese ports /First sailing mid of March Hapag-Lloyd is launching the new Japan-Singapore-Jakarta service (JSJ) which will commence on March 12 from Singapore. The new service will further enhance Hapag-Lloyd’s service network between Japan and South East Asia, and offer fast and reliable transit between Japan, Singapore and Jakarta. The JSJ service will be jointly operated by Hapag-Lloyd, NYK and “K” Line with four vessels with a nominal capacity of 4,200 TEU each. Hapag-Lloyd will deploy one vessel on this service. Hapag Reportedly Seeks IPO

Hapag-Lloyd AG is reportedly planning an initial public offering (IPO) on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, people involved in the deal said. IPO will happen after a signing a merger deal with Compania Sud Americana de Vapores S.A. (SNSE:VAPORES) (CSAV). "Due diligence is on its way and it should take a couple of weeks, If all goes well, the deal will be completed by early March, 2014. The IPO in Frankfurt would follow within the time frame agreed by the two parties," the person added. CSAV is looking to subscribe €259 million in the first capital increase of Hapag within 100 days after the merger and €370 million in the second capital increase in connection with Hapag’s IPO, within one year after the deal is completed.
TUI Seeks IPO For Hapag

TUI AG (DB:TUI1) is seeking to list Hapag-Lloyd AG. Horst Baier, Chief Financial Officer of TUI said that TUI is listing Hapag to sell its 22% stake. “Gathering a group of investors who would buy some shares and then speaking to the stock exchanges,” he added. Baier said no initial public offering will happen through the first quarter of 2014, and no banks had been mandated to help with such a transaction yet. While Germany’s benchmark index DAX has reached records this month, the rally isn’t pressuring TUI to find a quick solution. TUI stock went up by 4.8% on December 18, 2013.
