Y&R Advertising, Inc. opened Y&R Yangon, advertising agency in Myanmar. Y&R Yangon is a joint venture with local partners K-Noke Advertising. Y&R Yangon will be led by General Manager Khin Myat Thu, New Business Development Director John Kyaw Myo Htun, and Director Aung Kyaw Oo. Y&R Yangon's leadership team have a combined 49 years of extensive industry experience.

Y&R Advertising North America announced that Carter Murray has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Y&R Advertising's North America operations. Starting his new position at the end of October, Murray will be based in New York and will be responsible for overseeing all of Y&R Advertising's North America offices, including pursuing new business in the region. Carter joins Y&R Advertising from Publicis Worldwide in Paris, where he worked for over four years, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer and Worldwide Account Director, in addition to being an Executive Committee member.

United States Olympic Committee selected Y&R Advertising, Inc. and VML, Inc. to handle brand and digital assignments to support the committee's marketing efforts. VML will also work on a redesign of the teamusa.org Web site.
