Signia Wealth has strengthened its board with the appointment of Paul Lester as executive chair. The firm is seeking to increase its assets under management to £5 billion in the next five years. In his new role, Lester will advise and govern the executive team as well as support Signia's advisory board. He is currently chair of private company Greenergy International, as well as the FTSE 250 firm John Laing Infrastructure fund, and private equity backed companies Parabis, Survitec and Peverel. Prior to this, Lester worked at infrastructure group Balfour Beatty where he was group managing director. The appointment follows the hires of Michael Rosenthal as head of hedge fund investment, and Sir Keith Mills to Signia's advisory board.

Signia Wealth has appointed Michael Rosenthal as head of its hedge fund investment. Rosenthal has experience in the hedge fund asset class across the US, European, Asia Pacific and Japanese markets. Rosenthal joins Signia from Amundi Asset Management, where he served as the global co-head of hedge fund investment and head of the firm's London office.

Signia Wealth Limited has hired Schroders UK private bank chief executive Rupert Robinson as head of wealth management. Robinson will work with founder and chief executive Nathalie Dauriac-Stoebe on key strategies for the firm and will focus on the firm's day to day operations. He will also develop the group's investment policy in tandem with chief investment officer Gautum Batra. Robinson had been at Schroders for the past 10 years. He joined in 2002 as managing director of investments within private banking after Schroders acquired wealth manager Beaumont Capital. He was a senior member of the private banking investment committee and managed multi-asset class portfolios on behalf of its clients.
