DataStax Key Developments

Progress Partners with DataStax to Provide Enterprise Data Integration for Apache Cassandra

Progress announced that it has partnered with DataStax, to provide customers with enterprise-ready data connectivity and integration solutions for Cassandra. The partnership comes as a result of increased demand from both Progress DataDirect and DataStax customers for a standards-based solution that allows Cassandra to integrate with existing IT processes and systems, including BI, analytics and ETL. This shortens the integration time, reduces the development effort, and allows for reuse of existing skills, particularly with the database teams that use traditional relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.

Azul Systems and DataStax Partner on High-Performance Java Platform for Cassandra

Azul Systems and DataStax announced a partnership to allow DataStax Enterprise (DSE) customers to leverage the enhanced performance of Azul Zing. Zing is now a certified Java Virtual Machines (JVM) for DataStax Enterprise (DSE), ensuring smooth deployments and seamless operation. In recent benchmark testing, DataStax deployed on Zing outperformed traditional SQL databases by an order of magnitude in both throughput and runtime consistency over conventional JVMs. Core big data technologies such as Cassandra, Solr and Spark are written in Java requiring a JVM for runtime execution.

Cartesian and DataStax Announces an Expansion of Global Partnership

Cartesian and DataStax have announced an expansion of their global partnership. The expanded alliance agreement, driven by the company's EMEA division, enhances big data analytics solutions for the communications, technology and media sector by embedding DataStax technologies into the company's proprietary Ascertain platform to drive real time processing and analysis of big data.
