AIA Group has named Carl Gustini to succeed Mr. Crewe as President Director and CEO of PT AIA Financial Indonesia. The management changes will be effective effective December 1, 2011. Mr. Gustini joins AIA Indonesia from Manulife Vietnam where he was General Director and CEO for the past 18 months. Prior to that, Mr. Gustini was country manager for Manulife in the Philippines.

PT AIA Financial Indonesia announced earnings results for the first six months of 2011. The company has recorded an un-audited premium income of around IDR 2.1 trillion (USD 247.8 million) in the first six months of 2011. The income represented a 35% increase from IDR 1.56 trillion in the same period last year. The increase was attributable to the high activity and productivity of marketing agents and bank assurance. The company's business premium income in the first semester significantly increased by 93% to IDR 854 billion from IDR 442.49 billion in the same period in 2010.
