Allied Business Intelligence, Inc. announced the opening of its new research and teardown facility in Austin. Austin's well established companies like Freescale Semiconductor and Dell as well as innovative startups like Black Sand Technologies make it a natural choice for the new location. This expansion allows ABI Research to capitalize on the opportunity to be in the center of a technology hub. The device teardown business has been one of ABI Research's growing segments in the past 18 months and ABI sees the trajectory continuing. With a growing emphasis in the market on patents & IP and the rapid rate at which semiconductor technology continues to innovate, their growing client base is driving them to reinvest in teardown operations.
