John Rwangombwa, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, told Business Times on January 17, 2012 that government is unlikely to launch any IPO in 2012. "We had mentioned that these companies would sell their shares to the public in the future when they are ready but they are not ready at the moment," Rwangombwa said. Some companies lined up for privatization include MTN Rwanda, Commercial Bank of Rwanda. Sonarwa S.A. and Cimerwa Ltd.
