ASSIA, Inc. Key Developments

ASSIA, Inc. Unveils Unique Global Multi-Vendor Software Solution

ASSIA, Inc. unveiled unique SDAN (Software Defined Access Network) solution designed for service providers globally, across all technologies and all vendor equipment types, from DSL to the new fiber access. The company's SDAN initiative is a delivery of virtualization into access - taking virtualization to the edge of networks and complementing current activities in the core and aggregation networks. Additionally, the SDAN initiative includes ASSIA's CloudCheck service, which enables the service provider to know the end-to-end performance of the consumer's devices and broadband services. CloudCheck also gives consumers the ability to evaluate the service they receive and to optimize their broadband experience. This can be achieved regardless of whether the delivery technology is copper-based or fiber-based. In the optical domain, ASSIA is supplementing its SDAN initiative with the announcement of Optical Network Expresse (ON-Expresse) which supports Fiber-to-the-Basement (FTTB), Fiber-to-the-Distribution-Point (FTTdp), and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployments. ON-Expresse, an extension of its DSL Expresse(R) network management and optimization product, greatly simplifies deployment, operation and service assurance for access networks using Passive Optical Network (PON) technology.

ASSIA, Inc. Announces the Launch of Optical Network Expresse (ON-Expresse(TM))

ASSIA, Inc. announced the launch of Optical Network Expresse (ON-Expresse(TM)), which will support Fiber-to-the-Basement (FTTB), Fiber-to-the-Distribution-Point (FTTdp), and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployments. ON-Expresse, an extension of its DSL Expresse(R) network management and optimization product, greatly simplifies deployment, operation and service assurance for access networks using Passive Optical Network (PON) technology. As service providers shift toward multi-technology approaches for delivering broadband, the growing breadth of these technologies introduces multiple layers of complexity in managing, monitoring, and optimizing service delivery. With ON-Expresse, ASSIA virtualizes the broadband access network with an unmatched portfolio of hardware- and technology-independent products for open and unified management. ASSIA's Expresse suite of products is available as a set of services, thus eliminating the costs of operating and maintaining on-premises software. ON-Expresse lowers deployment costs by preventing defects during installation, while reducing problem-resolution time and improving dispatch productivity with expert recommendations for call centers and technicians. Additionally, ON-Expresse prevents service degradation with proactive congestion analysis and reporting. Service providers that are already using DSL Expresse benefit from a unified solution supporting all access network segments and technologies, and requiring no additional integration with existing Operations Support Systems (OSS).
