Odgers Berndtson Group announced that Patrice (Pat) W.L. Young joined the global Life Sciences and Healthcare practices as a Partner based in the firm's Boston office. She will also collaborate with the firm's Private Equity team. Ms. Young focuses on domestic and international searches for senior executive and managerial roles within the biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical industries. She is responsible for managing engagements for C-suite and senior executive roles within those industries, as well as leadership positions overseeing critical functions such as corporate and business development, sales and marketing, finance, research and development, and manufacturing operations. Ms. Young also partners with the firm's Private Equity (PE) practice on engagements to recruit investment professionals for PE firms that invest in healthcare and life sciences companies, as well as on senior-level searches for their portfolio companies.
Odgers Berndtson Group announced that Cheryl Lobell has joined the New York office as a Partner to work with Life Science and Healthcare clients. She will also be a member of the Human Resources functional practice. Ms. Lobell, who is currently with Odgers Berndtson's office in Singapore, will relocate to the U.S. next month to assist domestic clients, as well as multinationals with global leadership challenges, build more effective management teams through executive recruitment and leadership advisory consulting services. She will continue to work primarily with Life Science and Healthcare clients, including pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology innovators, hospital systems, and consumer healthcare companies. In addition, as a member of the firm's Human Resources practice, she will provide recruiting services specific to management roles within HR, such as Chief Human Resource Officer and those responsible for leadership development, training, organizational design, compensation, and diversity, among others. Ms. Lobell has more than 22 years of international experience. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, she held a variety of key senior human resource roles with Colgate-Palmolive, Astra Zeneca, and most recently, with Standard Chartered Bank, where she was the Group Head of HR for Risk. Earlier, she managed her own executive coaching and consulting business, working with businesses throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Odgers Berndtson Group announced that veteran insurance industry executive search consultants Pat Corey and Paul Hanson have joined the firm's Insurance practice in the U.S. as Partners in the Chicago office, effective immediately. Messrs. Corey and Hanson previously worked together in another executive recruiting firm with Steve Potter, managing partner for Odgers Berndtson's U.S. business, and David Gabriel, who leads its Technology, Information & Communication, and Media & Entertainment practices. In addition to conducting client engagements, Mr. Corey will also head the firm's U.S. Insurance practice, which provides search and organizational leadership consulting services to domestic and international companies active in the life, property, casualty, and health insurance markets. He will focus on board- and executive-level search assignments as well as those pertaining to critical functional roles, such as leadership positions within human resources; information technology; finance; legal, compliance, and risk management; and procurement and supply chain management. Mr. Corey has spent more than 25 years as an executive recruiter specializing in the insurance sector. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, he was a Senior Client Partner in the Insurance and Financial Services practice at Korn/Ferry International. Mr. Corey is joined in Chicago by Paul Hanson, who has more than 15 years of insurance-specific executive search experience.
