Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (Psalm) will resume sale of remaining power-generation assets and contracted capacities owned by the government in August 2011. Psalm’s President and CEO Emmanuel R. Ledesma Jr. said the government firm would first bid out the independent power producer administrator (IPPA) contract for Naga Power Plant. After this, IPPA for Casecnan Hydroelectric Plant would be bid out. Power Barge 101, Power Barge 102, Power Barge 103 and Power Barge 104 will be sold within the fourth quarter of 2011. Emmanuel R. Ledesma Jr. stated that there are at least 10 companies in race for the Naga IPPA, most of which are local companies. The government is yet to schedule the bidding for other power facilities including the Agus, Pulangi and for several more IPPA contracts for Unified Leyte Geothermal Power Plant Complex; Caliraya-Botokan-Kalayaan Hydro Plants; Western Mindanao Power Corp.; Southern Philippines Power Corp.; Mindanao Coal-Fired Plant; and Mt. Apo 1 Plant and Mt. Apo 2 Plant.
