Azaleos Corporation Introduces Private Cloud Services for New Microsoft Office Release
Oct 17 12
Azaleos Corporation announced that its new Managed Exchange 2013, Managed SharePoint 2013 and Managed Lync 2013 private cloud managed services will be introduced in mid-November in conjunction with the general availability of the Microsoft Office 2013 platform. As a Microsoft Technology Adoption Partner (TAP), Azaleos has had access to and been working with these new Microsoft products since early 2012. This deep understanding of the deployment and management challenges associated with each of these new unified communications and collaboration platforms enables customers to confidently and cost effectively adopt them without having to hire or retrain internal IT staff. Unlike the Office 365 public cloud approach, Azaleos managed Exchange 2013, managed SharePoint 2013 and managed Lync 2013 services fully support and take advantage of 100% of the new features available with these server releases. Based on operations data and feedback from customers, the following 2013 Wave features will likely play a major role in driving adoption of these products: SharePoint App Management Service -- which allows administrators to more easily manage SharePoint apps which are either created internally or downloaded from the new SharePoint Marketplace. New Lync Enterprise Voice and Video Features -- such as support for multiple trunks between mediation servers and gateways, intertrunk routing that enables Lync Server to support different phone systems and manage/delegate simultaneous ring and caller ID presentation, and Video Gallery view to support up to five simultaneous video streams. Exchange Modern Public Folders -- which resemble public folder mailboxes, use regular mailbox databases and can be integrated with a database availability group for disaster recovery. Cross Server Integration -- such as Site Mailboxes which bring Exchange emails and SharePoint documents together, a shared eDiscovery center used by all three products, FAST search in Exchange for a more consistent indexing and searching experience, a unified contact store (between Exchange and Lync) and the Lync archiving connection to Exchange Litigation Hold. Azaleos managed Exchange 2013, managed SharePoint 2013 and managed Lync 2013 will be available in mid-November (in conjunction with 2013 product availability from Microsoft) from Azaleos and select business partners. Per user/per month subscription pricing starts at $5 and varies based on volume, type of deployment and number of services.
Azaleos Corporation Announces New Azaleos Managed Mobile Device Management Service
Jul 12 12
Azaleos Corporation announced the new Azaleos Managed Mobile Device Management Service that enables enterprises to centrally secure and control all leading mobile devices, including employee owned smartphones and tablets. This service, which is offered in both private and public cloud options, addresses the security, compliance and cost challenges of managing mobile devices. The Azaleos Managed MDM service is based on technology from market leading MDM provider AirWatch and provides proactive 24x7 monitoring and management of company-issued and employee-owned mobile devices. The cost of managed mobile devices is expected to soar to $339 per user in 2013 according to a report released by Osterman Research. Last year 32% of workers in mid-sized and large North American organizations employed a tablet or smartphone to access corporate resources. This number is expected to reach 50% by 2013 according to Osterman Research. For IT departments, the cost and complexity of managed mobile devices is being compounded because a growing proportion of devices are supplied and owned by individual users - also known as Bring Own Device. This phenomenon is forcing IT to support a wide array of mobile hardware platforms and operating systems - and stretching resources to their limit. In fact, fulltime employee staff required to manage smartphone users which was 2.9 per 1,000 smartphone users in 2011, is expected to climb to 4.0 in 2013. To alleviate the growing resource drain caused by mobile device management, the Azaleos Managed MDM service provides: Device security management for lost, non-compliant, offline and jail broken devices, as well as data leakage protection for sensitive corporate information. AirWatch MDM server architecture activation, configuration, monitoring, management, tuning and service interruption detection. Private cloud/on-premise deployment, and a public cloud/SaaS option with the MDM servers hosted by AirWatch. Continuous monitoring by Azaleos experts for all leading device platforms including iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone. The Azaleos Managed MDM service expands upon the company's existing managed services for Blackberry Enterprise Server and mobile devices that support the ActiveSync protocol. The Azaleos managed BES service has also been expanded to support the new BlackBerry Mobile Fusion server.
