Swissport International Ltd. signed a five-year agreement with Saudi Airlines Cargo CO LLC, or Saudia Cargo, for the handling of the airlines' full freighter operations at the two European hubs, Brussels and Amsterdam. The agreement with effect from May 1, 2014 covers the complete scope of cargo handling services including full freighter ramp and warehouse handling. The new 5-year agreement between Saudia Cargo and Swissport is due to commence on May 1, 2014 and follows up on the long established cooperation between the two companies in the UK.

Swissport International Ltd. has promoted Tommy Watt to executive vice president of UK and Ireland, becoming a formal member of Swissport International's Group executive management. In this role Tommy Watt is directly reporting to Per H. Utnegaard, Group President & CEO of Swissport International. Tommy Watt joined Swissport following the completion of the Swissport merger with Servisair on 23rd December 2013. In his new position Tommy Watt is responsible for all ground handling and cargo handling activities of Swissport in the region UK & Ireland, with a focus on a successful merger of the two companies as well as the consolidation and further expansion of the business in this region. Tommy Watt joined Servisair in 1976 at Glasgow Airport and progressed to hold a number of senior roles during his career.
