Corvex Management LP and The Related Companies, L.P. are interested in the acquisition of CommonWealth REIT. Corvex Management and Related Companies reported around 10% stake in CommonWealth. Investors in a letter to the CommonWealth Board said, "We believe that the company's real estate assets are significantly undervalued due to the misalignment of incentives between the company and its externally advised management structure, and track record of underperformance." Corvex and Related Companies asked CommonWealth to cancel its proposed share and debt offering.

Corvex Management LP is in discussions with the managemnt of The ADT Corporation to review strategies. Corvex Management LP and Soros Fund Management LLC, shareholders of The ADT Corporation, said certain persons, specifically from Corvex, have had conversations and meetings with the management of ADT Corp. to discuss the company's business and strategies. Corvex and Soros, said, "These discussions have reviewed, and may continue to review, options for enhancing shareholder value through various strategic alternatives including, but not limited to, improving capital structure and capital allocation, and general corporate strategies."
