Only certain types of educational institutions are eligible to become members of Commonfund. It also maintains taxable subsidiaries that provide it with services and that offer investment products and services to all types of nonprofit institutions, including those that are not eligible for membership in Commonfund itself. Commonfund has appointed Bradford K. Gallagher as chairman, board of trustees. Gallagher succeeds Laurance R. Hoagland, who has retired from its board after serving a 12-year term. Commonfund has also announced the retirement of Charles J. Pippin from its board, again after serving a term of 12 years. Mr. Gallagher has been member of the Commonfund Board of Trustee since 2005 and is most recently Founder and President, Spyglass Investments LLC. Brad Gallagher’s career spans 30 years in the securities and investment industry as a developer and founder of several well-known and successful enterprises most recently as Founder and President of Spyglass Investments LLC in 2001.
