Ace Hardware Powers its Omnichannel Initiative with eBay Enterprise in Store Pickup

eBay Enterprise announced an expanded partnership with Ace Hardware to power its omnichannel initiative with eBay Enterprise In-Store Pickup. Ace selected eBay Enterprise to enhance its omnichannel capabilities as the company ramps up its efforts to stay competitive, drive sales and generate new customer acquisition efforts. Ace and eBay Enterprise partnered together during the summer of 2013 to pilot the in-store pickup program. Its initial implementation included 36 stores and on average has added this cloud-based solution to more than 50 stores per month. By the end of July with more than 500 stores enabled with eBay Enterprise In-Store Pickup, Ace has realized an average lift of 18% to 20% in its ecommerce sales.

Designed and built from the ground up, in strategic partnership with FICO, the platform combines the unmatched commerce insights, demand generation delivery technologies and intellectual property of eBay Enterprise with FICO's powerful analytics technologies and products to optimize the relevance and value of each individual customer's purchasing journey. Through this integrated and dynamic suite, brands and retailers can unlock the predictive power of their data to deliver the most effective content to the most responsive customers through the best combination of channels. The Commerce Marketing Platform includes a powerful mix of analytics and planning tools that integrate existing eBay Enterprise demand-generation technologies with new solutions: customer engagement engine; affiliate engine; display engine; social engine; loyalty engine; attribution engine; media planner; optimization engine and audience insights engine.

Destination Xl Group Inc. Turns to ebay Enterprise to Transform Stores into Fulfillment Centers

eBay Enterprise announced Destination XL Group Inc. has implemented eBay Enterprise Ship-from Store in more than 100 stores. DXLG deployed eBay Enterprise Ship-from Store in 90 days to more than 100 stores and continues to add stores monthly. According to Shortall, the program captures demand that may have otherwise been lost and reduces backorder and out-of-stock situations in the distribution center. In addition, the integration of store inventory with the online channel enables the sale of items at a faster rate, which results in fewer markdowns. DXLG also utilizes eBay Enterprise Dropship Manager to automate order processing providing online visibility to available inventory. As a result, DXLG more than doubled its dropship network and decreased cancel rates for dropship items by 52%.
