Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. Selects Latin America Site for New Forest Product Facility

Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. has selected the city of Curitiba in Parana, Brazil, as the location for its next forest products manufacturing facility. The new operations will include an administrative headquarters building and the necessary infrastructure improvements to support a world scale formaldehyde production plant of 150,000 metric tons per year. Construction of the new facility, which is to include base resin manufacturing for wood adhesives, is expected to take approximately 12 to 18 months.
