Alaska Air Group 's board of directors has named Veresh Sita vice president and chief information officer for Alaska Airlines. As CIO, Sita will have oversight of a department of 300 information technology professionals and be responsible for investing in the infrastructure, enterprise systems and technical innovation at Alaska Airlines and its sister carrier Horizon Air. Alaska Airlines, Inc. Plans to Begin Seasonal Service Between Portland and Los Cabos

Alaska Airlines, Inc. announced that it plans to begin seasonal service between Portland and Los Cabos from November 3, 2014 through April 27, 2015, and between Portland and Puerto Vallarta from November 4, 2014 through April 26, 2015. Alaska is offering introductory fares of $176 one way from Portland to Los Cabos, and $186 one way from Portland to Puerto Vallarta, on tickets purchased by July 14, for travel from the service start date through Feb. 10, 2015. The new flights between Portland and Mexico will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft.

Hyde will lead community relations and charitable giving in the continental United States and Hawaii, collaborating with civic leaders and organizations affecting Alaska Airlines.
