Saudi Arabian Oil Co. and Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation Sign Agreements on Renewal of Okinawa Oil Storage

Saudi Arabian Oil Co. and Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation have signed agreements on the renewal of the Okinawa crude oil storage for an additional three years. In return for offering Saudi Aramco free storage tank capacity in Okinawa, Japan gets a priority claim on buying the crude in the tanks in the event of supply emergency. The total capacity of the leased crude oil tanks is increased by 1.3 million barrels to reach 6.3 million barrels. The project will further strengthen the relationship between the Kingdom and Pacific Rim countries, including Japan, whose crude oil import from the Kingdom accounts for 30% of its total crude oil import.
Saudi Aramco and Johns Hopkins Medicine Launch Health Care Joint Venture

Saudi Aramco and Johns Hopkins Medicine inaugurated a health care joint venture in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The new company, Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare Company, will begin operations on February 1, 2014. Saudi Aramco and Johns Hopkins Medicine each have an indirect ownership interest in the Saudi-registered company. The health care joint venture will bring together Saudi Aramcos long established health care delivery system and its approximately 350,000 beneficiaries and the world-renowned clinical, education and research expertise of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare will deliver high-quality health care to Saudi Aramcos employees and their families. The partnership will enable growth, diversify and strengthen the provision of medical services in the Kingdom.
