Reed Elsevier (UK) Limited announced that Clarkson, Wright & Jakes (CWJ) has signed an agreement with LexisNexis that provides the firm with the full suite of LexisNexis services. The suite is built around Lexis®PSL, the practical law service developed by LexisNexis, as well as Lexis®Library and document automation tools from Lexis®Smart. LexisPSL combines the practice notes, time-saving tools, forms, precedents and checklists required for contemporary legal practice, with direct links through to the primary law and the industry standard titles for which LexisNexis is well known. Practitioners can instantly navigate from the “what” and “how” of the law to the “why”, with links directly to case law and legislation as well as materials from key texts including Halsbury’s, Butterworth’s and Tolley, and specialist legal magazines and journals. The service provides a layered approach of short, easy-to-read documents with clearly signposted, seamless links through to the underlying authority and materials. LexisPSL gives users the ability to delve as far into a topic as they need to go without having to look elsewhere for a complete answer. This is further complemented by productivity applications such as LexisSmart drafting tools, fillable government forms and damages calculators.
LexisNexis Announces Addition of Eight New Full Text Journal Titles to Lexis®Library

Reed Elsevier (UK) Limited announced that it has responded to customer requests for additional journal content, expanding their licensing partnership with Oxford University Press. The deal will see the addition of eight new full text journal titles to the industry’s most extensive and authoritative source of essential legal information online: Lexis®Library. The deal follows comprehensive consultation LexisNexis conducted with their customers across U.K. law firms, the Bar and academic institutions in order to better understand their requirements. This deal forms a critical part of creating a resource that meets the needs of customers. LexisNexis already provides a large number of new Oxford University Press journals via LexisLibrary. The new additions will be available in the autumn. The full eight journals are: The British Journal of Criminology, Oxford Journal of Law and Religion, International Journal of Transitional Justice, Journal of International Dispute Settlement, Chinese Journal of International Law, Journal of Competition Law and Economics, Human Rights Law Review, and Journal of Legal Analysis (Open Access).
