Maurices Announces Earnings Results for the Third Quarter of 2014

Maurices announced earnings results for the third quarter of 2014. The company delivered solid top line performance with total comp sales of 2% driven by positive store comps and very strong e-commerce sales. Combined March, April comp performance was up 3% and the combination of store growth, comp store growth with new stores generated total revenue growth of 7% versus LY. Operating income decreased 2% versus last year to $34 million or 13.6% of sales.

Maurices Seeks To Sell Two Buildings

Maurices Incorporated seeks to sell two other downtown headquarters buildings, at 104 and 117 West Superior Street in near future. “We’ve already had a number of developers and companies express interest in the properties, and we are optimistic about finding buyers and tenants for these properties,” says Brian Thun, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Maurices.
