Rush University Medical Center and AbSorber AB Enter into a Collaborative Validation Study
Sep 18 12
AbSorber AB announced that they have entered into a pilot validation study in collaboration with Rush University Medical Center, one of the busiest transplantation centers in Chicago, IL, to investigate other potential clinical uses of the endothelial precursor cells isolated using the endothelial cell crossmatch XM-ONE. Currently, XM-ONE allows detection of non- HLA antibodies by flow cytometry. This proposed validation study will evaluate whether endothelial precursor cells could provide clinically relevant information about non-HLA antibodies when used together in a traditional cytotoxicity crossmatch assay in renal transplantation. This initial pilot validation study will include 50 patient samples (retrospective samples)
and is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
