Malauzai Software and Trusteer Team Up to Help Customers Bancorp Strengthen Security of Mobile Banking Application
Jul 22 14
Malauzai Software has teamed up with Trusteer to provide an integrated solution that is being used by Wyomissing, Pa. based Customers Bancorp, Inc. to strengthen the security of its mobile banking application. With the rate of mobile malware on the rise, this solution provides end users with an additional layer of security by integrating Trusteer's Mobile SDK security solution into Malauzai's SmartApps. With Trusteer's Mobile SDK embedded into a SmartApp, the device is scanned to identify a broad range of risks, including: Jailbroken (iOS) and Rooted (Android) devices, Missing Operating System (OS) security patches, Risky application configurations and permissions, Malware infections and Unsecured Wi-Fi access. Once the scan is complete, a mobile risk score is determined. Customers Bancorp uses this result to secure mobile banking transactions. Risk data is provided to the mobile banking app and can be used to restrict account functionality based on device risk levels.
Vons Credit Union Moves to Malauzai Software SmartApp to Improve Mobile Banking Flexibility
Apr 16 14
Malauzai Software, announced that El Monte, Calif.-based Vons Credit Union has switched to the company's SmartApp in order to have more control over the design and functionality of its mobile banking program. In the summer of 2013, Vons began working with its online and core banking platform provider to launch a mobile app. The team at the $425 million credit union quickly became disappointed with the speed of implementation and the outdated nature of the app. Enhancements to the app could only be expected on a yearly basis and the design would be limited to a pre-formed template. There was also no integration with Vons' corporate credit union, which meant mobile remote deposit capture could not be deployed. Vons chose to move its mobile banking development to Malauzai to provide its 45,000 members with a mobile app that would be consistently updated as new features came available. By disconnecting the app from online banking, members would also experience less technical issues and downtime within the mobile channel. In addition, the switch gave the Vons team more input on the design of the app, allowing them to truly promote the credit union's brand. The credit union's SmartApp was live within 60 days of the project start date and supports 5,000 active users.
Poca Valley Bank Launches Mobile Banking through Malauzai Software's SmartApp
Mar 26 14
Malauzai Software, Inc. has announced that Poca Valley Bank has launched its first mobile banking program with the company's SmartApp. As a community bank with fewer locations than many of its competitors, it was imperative for PVB to provide mobile banking in order to compete with the regional and money center banks in its area. After facing integration issues during a previous effort to introduce mobile banking, the bank was seeking a partner that could work with both its existing core and bill pay providers. The ability to provide customers with real-time account information was also top of the list in PVB's search efforts. The bank selected Malauzai to develop iPhone, iPad and Android SmartApps for its customers.
