A lawsuit filed on behalf of more than 1,000 call center workers has ended in a $1.2 million settlement with Aerotek Inc. Lawyers on both sides announced the settlement concludes the dispute that began in December 2006, when the Martinsburg call center shut down. The lawsuit claimed employees were not paid in a timely fashion and were owed some back wages. The center was open for about 10 years. About 228 people were working there when it closed. The formula for distributing the settlement money has to be approved by Circuit Judge Gray Silver.

Aerotek Inc. has shut its Sacramento office and opened two new offices in the area. The offices are at 3101 Zinfandel Drive, Suite 350, in Rancho Cordova, and at 3741 Douglas Blvd., Suite 235, in Roseville. The office at 1610 Arden Way in Sacramento was closed. The new offices will focus on filling positions in such areas as high-tech and environmental engineering and construction management.

Aerotek Inc. has leased 8,291 SF on the 5th floor of Gaedeke Group's Richland Corporate Center at 9001 Airport Freeway in North Richland Hills, TX. This is Aerotek's sixth office in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex; the company also has locations in Addison, Arlington, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Richardson. This location will allow the company to better serve customers and candidates in the mid-cities area of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Gaedeke Group's Richland Corporate Centre provides 139,175 SF in a nine-story Class A office tower at 9001 Airport Freeway and a companion three-story garden office building at 9003 Airport Freeway; the buildings are interconnected by a three-level, above-ground parking garage. Gaedeke Group recently completed construction on a standalone Frost Bank facility on a contiguous two-acre site, and plans to develop Richland Corporate Centre II, a 169,000 SF office tower, on an adjoining 3.44 acres once they secure an anchor tenant.
