Hearst Magazines International (HMI), a unit of Hearst Corporation, announced the launch of Esquire in Vietnam starting with the April issue, in print and iPad e-edition on March 26. Esquire Vietnam marks the 27th edition of the general-interest lifestyle magazine for sophisticated men, and will be published in partnership with Sun Flower Media, with whom HMI already partners to publish Cosmopolitan and Harper’s Bazaar in Vietnam. The most honored monthly magazine in America, Esquire defines, reflects and celebrates what it means to be a man in contemporary culture. The magazine is published in 14 languages and distributed in 45 countries, having most recently launched in Singapore in July 2012.
Hearst Magazines International named Johnnie Sorrell chief technology officer, effective immediately. In his new role, Sorrell will work with Hearst Magazines to formulate its information technology strategy and identify areas where technology will improve overall business performance, competitive advantage and future growth.
