GolTV Inc. and ESPN Inc. have reached an agreement for Spanish and English-language multimedia rights to Spain's La Liga in the U.S. through 2012. The two multimedia companies will now share coverage of one of the world's most popular and most watched football leagues, Spain's La Liga. With this deal, GolTV and ESPN will give La Liga fans in the U.S. the ability to see an unprecedented number of games. Under the terms of the agreement, in addition to the 120 live games in English and Spanish that will be televised on GolTV, ESPN Deportes will provide exclusive Spanish-language coverage of more than 95 La Liga regular-season matches live. ESPN360.com-ESPN's live sports broadband network-will stream at least 114 matches, including simulcast of all 95 ESPN Deportes matches live in English. ESPN2 will televise select matches and ESPN Mobile TV (on FLO TV and MobiTV) will also stream select games live to mobile devices. Additional coverage will include a highlights show on match days on ESPN Deportes, as well as re-air rights across ESPN Deportes and ESPN360.com.

GolTV Inc. has renewed the TV rights for Germany's Bundesliga for the U.S. and Canada through 2012. The all-soccer network currently delivers exclusive coverage of the 2009 Bundesliga season and up to four live matches every weekend with replays during the week. GolTV viewers can also watch more German soccer coverage with Hallo Bundesliga every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET and Bundesliga Magazine every Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET.

GolTV Inc. has inked a multi-year TV rights deal for the U.S. and Canada for Spain's La Liga through 2012. The country's fastest growing all-soccer network has also secured four original shows offering in-depth coverage of La Liga's 20 club teams throughout the season, including world-renowned clubs FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Spain's La Liga boasts several of the world's strongest soccer club brands and powerhouse players like Eto'o, Raul, Cannavaro, Marquez, Henry and Messi. GolTV has held TV rights to La Liga since 2003, where the league consistently delivers year-over-year stellar ratings. When FC Barcelona and Real Madrid went head-to-head in 'El Clasico,' GolTV scored the highest ratings of any TV sports network in the U.S. Hispanic market in December 2008 according to AC Nielsen.
