Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited launched a disaster recovery system (DRS) to ensure continuity in trading even during catastrophic natural disasters or national emergency. The system was introduced at the head office of bourse along with its Dhaka office. The system refers to specific steps taken to resume operations in the aftermath of a catastrophic natural disaster or national emergency, according to the statement. In information technology, such steps may include restoring servers or mainframes with backups, re-establishing private branch exchanges or provisioning local area networks to meet immediate business needs.

Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited appointed Syed Sajid Husain as its Chief Executive Officer with effect from November 1, 2011. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Syed Sajid Husain was working as the Acting CEO of CSE. He joined Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2010. Syed Sajid Husain had also served as Head of Bangladesh Branch of Alcatel-Lucent France.

Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited announced that it has launched next generation trading software to facilitate investors to trade from their houses or offices without going to brokerage house. The system has been developed by Millennium IT (MIT) and Polaris at the cost of BDT 400 million.
