Advanced Data Networks System Limited Deploys SkyPilot for Broadband Wireless in Bangladesh

SkyPilot Networks Inc. announced that Advanced Data Networks System Limited has deployed SkyPilot's equipment to provide broadband wireless services within the metropolitan area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The network provides Internet access services to both 'last-mile' fixed locations and portable Wi-Fi devices. The ADN wireless Internet service is branded as 'ADN Wi-Fi+' and principally serves small-to medium-sized businesses in multiple regions around Dhaka. ADN Wi-Fi+ also services several residential areas as well as universities and hotels. ADN utilizes a combination of SkyGateways and SkyExtenders to backhaul their broadband wireless networks, SkyExtender DualBands to provide Wi-Fi HotSpots, and SkyConnectors to provide the customer premise equipment (CPE) to last-mile subscribers.

Northumberland Selects SkyPilot for County Wireless Network

SkyPilot Networks Inc. announced that the Northumberland County Council has awarded KBR IT & Networking Solutions to install a new wireless data network throughout Northumberland, a county in northeastern England. The network, powered by SkyPilot equipment, will provide wireless connectivity from the county's multi-gigabit fibre core to various county services. Scheduled to be completed by end of June 2008, the Alnwick Town cluster was allocated as the first test case for the project, delivering not only public services to buildings but also providing the availability of mobile access at street level. In order to meet these challenges, KBR, in conjunction with SkyPilot's value-added distributor Avnet, was chosen to design and deploy the network.
