The Board of Directors of GBGAQRS announced that Gabungan Strategik Sdn Bhd has on December 26, 2012 accepted a Letter of Award dated December 18, 2012 from Soon Chai Architect issued on behalf of Peridot Development Sdn Bhd for the construction, completion and maintenance of the “Main Building Works for Cadangan Membina 30 unit Kilang Berkembar 3 Tingkat Berserta Pejabat di Tingkat Mezzanine yang Mengandungi: Jenis A1 – 6 unit; Jenis A2 – 6 unit; Jenis B1 – 7 unit; Jenis B2 – 7 unit; Jenis C1 – 2 unit; Jenis C2 – 2 unit dan 2 unit Pencawang Elektrik TNB di atas Lot 102540 (82040), Seksyen 25, 40400 Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan”, including all ancillary and associated works. The contract sum for the Project is MYR 36,492,256.25. The Project is expected to be completed by September 25, 2014.

Main Market-bound Gabungan AQRS Berhad has received a Letter of Acceptance from Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia (JKR) for a MYR 141.0 million turnkey contract. The contract, awarded to Gabungan AQRS' wholly-owned subsidiary Gabungan Strategik Sdn Bhd, involves road upgrading works in Negeri Sembilan. The contract will begin immediately and is expected to be completed by end-2014. It is expected to contribute positively to Gabungan AQRS' earnings for the financial year ending 31 December 2012 onwards. The Group's previously-completed works include the MYR 110.0 million Seremban-Senawang federal road, the MYR 150.0 million Institut Kemahiran Belia in Kuala Langat, and 43 school blocks in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor totaling MYR 150.0 million. Gabungan AQRS' on-going construction works include the MYR 104.6 million Puchong Perdana Interchange and the MYR 277.2 million Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong extension.
