Beechcraft Corporation announced the appointment of John Kearns as regional sales director for the Central and West Texas region and Patrick O'Connell as regional sales director for the Upper Midwest region of the United States. Kearns brings to his role in-depth knowledge of the Central and West Texas region after spending the past 15 years with Tulsa Beechcraft Inc. O'Connell has been a demonstration pilot for Beechcraft for the past six years and will manage Beechcraft sales for a territory that includes Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.

Chief Executive Officer of Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT), Scott Donnelly reaffirmed Textron's interest in potentially buying Beechcraft Corporation. "Our view of Beechcraft is the same as we've discussed in the past," he said. "There is certainly interest we would have in some of those assets." Donnelly was asked about Beechcraft because reports surfaced that Beechcraft was for sale. A Beechcraft spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

Beechcraft Corporation is for sale again, people with knowledge of the matter said. Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) is among companies exploring a bid, said two of the people. Credit Suisse Group is contacting potential suitors on their interest in acquiring Beechcraft, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the discussions are private. Beechcraft may fetch about $1.5 billion, another person said. Beechcraft could be a good fit for Textron, whose holdings include Bell helicopters, military drones and golf carts, Textron CEO Scott Donnelly said after the Chinese bid for Beechcraft was made public. “I think some of the assets of the company are interesting and would be a good fit in our company and that we could do the right thing for their existing customers and our customers – it would all work,” Donnelly said during a July 2012 quarterly earnings call. According to Wichita Eagle, a spokesman for Credit Suisse declined to comment. According to Wichita Eagle, Nicole Alexander, a spokeswoman for Beechcraft, and David Sylvestre, a spokesman for Providence, both declined to comment.
