Cablevision to Deploy New Cloud-Based Ad Solution from ActiveVideo

Cablevision and ActiveVideo announced that they are working together to deploy the new CloudTV AdCast platform later 2014. This new capability enables delivery of HTML5 interactive ads from the cloud and simplifies the process of extending rich, graphic-intensive ads to television. Ads written once in HTML5 can now be extended to TV in a more seamless way that reduces costs and accelerates time to market for advertisers. Cablevision's initial trial deployment will include American Express and its interactive TV app called "Amex NOW". In addition to more robust interactive features, the new platform will offer Cablevision advertisers key data insights into the actual effectiveness of their ad buys, viewer engagement, response-rates and conversion. These insights can then be utilized by advertisers and their agencies to further optimize their campaign and ad messaging.

ActiveVideo and BrightLine Partner to Accelerate Reach of Connected TV Advertising Experiences to Set-Tops and Connected Devices

ActiveVideo(R) and BrightLine announced a strategic partnership that is designed to accelerate the availability of Web-style interactive TV advertising on cable, satellite, IPTV set-top boxes and connected devices. The two companies bring two-plus decades of combined experience in their respective fields to create this HTML5-based solution which will run across any device -- cable, telco, connected or otherwise. This integrated offer combines ActiveVideo's CloudTV(TM) AdCast, an interactive ad distribution software platform for pay-TV providers, with BrightLine's next-gen connected TV ad products for advertisers and agencies. The joint offering ensures consistency and depth of advertising experience on all devices, while meeting advertisers' needs for standards-based content creation, simplicity of distribution and measurability. The partnership is intended to drive rapid expansion of rich advertising experiences to large installed footprints overnight, while opening up expanded revenue opportunities for relevant platforms using the core competencies of both organizations: BrightLine's industry leading interactive TV ad solutions arm advertisers and agencies with the tools they need to create, deploy and measure interactive advertising campaigns on TV, making their TV ad dollars work harder. ActiveVideo Unveils New Functionality to Enable its CloudTV Software Platform to Deliver Web-Style Interactive TV Advertising at Scale

ActiveVideo has extended the power of Cloud UIs for pay-TV providers, online video providers and the CE industry, unveiling new functionality that enables its CloudTV(TM) software platform to deliver web-style interactive TV advertising at scale. The introduction of CloudTV(TM) AdCast, an interactive ad distribution software platform, frees television advertising and T-commerce applications from device dependencies. It enables ads written once in HTML5 -- including existing Web ads -- to ubiquitously provide advertisers with a consistency of experience on set-top boxes (STBs) and connected devices. CloudTV AdCast enables pay-TV providers to deliver interactive TV ads to entire service footprints and allows connected device manufacturers to monetize devices after the point of sale. In tandem with BrightLine, ActiveVideo is in-market with delivery of targeted, interactive, measurable ads from major consumer financial and cosmetics brands, using CloudTV AdCast and BrightLine's In-Television(TM) solution. ActiveVideo will be demonstrating CloudTV AdCast and other applications of Cloud UIs in a private suite at the Renaissance Las Vegas hotel January 7-10. CloudTV AdCast decouples advertisements from device limitations, enabling rich-media interactive ads to be rendered in the cloud, streamed irrespective of graphics, memory and processing power of devices and navigated via existing remote controls. The first ActiveVideo product to be available under a Service (SaaS) business model, CloudTV AdCast can be hosted by pay-TV or online service providers within their own data centers or by ActiveVideo in a fully virtualized, enterprise-class cloud environment. Available on more than 10 million devices in the United States and abroad, CloudTV is being used to improve and expand user experiences for multiple pay-TV providers -- including Charter Communications, Liberty Global, Cablevision Systems, Ziggo, Oceanic Time Warner Cable and others -- as well as a multi-stage trial with Comcast. CloudTV also is powering advanced user experiences on Philips-brand NetTVs and Roku devices.
