BoxTone Extends Enterprise Mobility Management Platform to Support Apple's New iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S and iOS 7
Sep 10 13
BoxTone extended its platform to support the new Apple(R) iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones, as well as the new iOS 7 mobile operating system that powers them. The Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Service Management (MSM) capabilities of BoxTone's EMM solution for iOS 7 are available immediately. With employees upgrading iOS smartphones and operating systems in the coming weeks, organizations can take advantage of the wide range of new enterprise capabilities offered by iOS 7 and BoxTone while protecting their corporate data, maintaining the high levels of service that their business demands and reducing the tidal wave of support requests. Key enterprise features of iOS 7 include rich controls to prevent data leakage and enable new mobile app interoperability. For example, if a user opens an enterprise email attachment or other corporate document in a consumer app, that document can move beyond the enterprise's control or even off of the device entirely. Beyond simply configuring iOS 7 devices, BoxTone also ensures organizations can roll out and effectively support mobile devices, apps and services. With BoxTone's Mobile Service Management (MSM) capabilities -- including real-time monitoring, proactive alerting, rapid incident resolution and environment tuning -- IT gets the visibility and control required to meet SLAs while mobile users get maximum productivity. For example, BoxTone's automated diagnostics enable Support teams to rapidly resolve mobile user issues and reduce support costs. BoxTone also automates lifecycle management across device activations, upgrades, changes and retirements with full auditing, reducing the load on IT and support while ensuring that corporate data always remains secure.
