JBS USA announced the opening of a state-of-the-art ground beef production facility at the JBS beef processing plant in Tolleson, Ariz. The new facility began production last week and includes a modern distribution center and 16,000 square feet of the latest high-tech equipment and systems available. The JBS facility will produce a variety of high-quality ground beef items including Cedar River Farms(R) Natural Beef and Showcase Premium Ground Beef(TM). Customers will be afforded a comprehensive product offering that includes a variety of lean points, packaging formats and raw material specifications to ensure superior customer satisfaction.
XL Foods entered into a management agreement with a Canadian Subsidiary of JBS USA Holdings, Inc. The agreement contemplates JBS assuming management of certain XL Canadian beef packing operations at Brooks, Alberta and the XL Calgary beef plant. The management agreement affords JBS the option to purchase XL's Lakeside beef plant, XL Calgary beef plant and XL's U.S beef packing operations. This agreement also includes the option to purchase Lakeside Feedyards, a feedlot and farming operation near Brooks, Alberta.
JBS USA Holdings, Inc. announced GREELEY Nearly six years after an immigration raid on a meatpacking plant in north Greeley nabbed 262 suspected illegal workers, company and government immigration leaders have struck a deal to work together to keep the workforce legal. The company signed an agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to ensure its workforce was legal.
