Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. may look to acquire some of the radio and television stations that Tribune Company may sell when it emerges from bankruptcy. Stanley Hubbard, CEO of Hubbard Broadcasting, told Crain's Chicago Business that he may acquire some of the broadcast properties if the price and location are right. Hubbard said he has not talked to the executives of Tribune regarding a possible purchase, and he's not eying any of the company's newspapers, which include the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and the Baltimore Sun.

Rentrak Corporation announced a StationView Essentials contract with Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. for all six of Hubbard's TV markets which include: Albany, NY (NBC); Albuquerque-Santa Fe, NM (NBC); Duluth-Superior, MN (ABC); Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN (ABC and IND); Rochester, NY (NBC) Rochester-Mason City-Austin, MN (ABC). Rentrak's census-based TV ratings currency will provide Hubbard's stations, as well as the media agencies and advertisers they work with, with the industry's most relevant view of how local television audiences interact with programming, promotions, news and sales.
