Ipanema Technologies announced its new ip|engine 400ax. This new device enables companies to guarantee the performance of their business critical applications such as Unified Communications, ERP and CRM, easily move these applications into the cloud as well as control Internet, social media and video traffic across 300Mbps. These engines will benefit large branch offices, headquarters and small data-centers alike, allowing enterprises greater visibility and higher bandwidth to manage the growing performance demand from new network usages. The ip|e 400ax allows for the management of up to 5,000 users and 300 Mbps, bolstering Ipanema's existing range of appliances designed for various WAN link capacities and numbers of users on a site. This family of physical and virtual appliances are key components of Ipanema's Autonomic Networking System (ANS), the central management platform for orchestrating all of Ipanema's diverse functions: Application Visibility, Application Control, WAN Optimization and Network Rightsizing. All these elements allow the Ipanema's system to guarantee business application performance over complex and large networks with offices of all size, from the branch to the large data center. In addition to Ipanema's standard features, the new ip|e 400ax comes with numerous additional benefits, such as: application visibility and control for branch office networks up to 300Mbps with support for any IP network, using a variety of access technology including Ethernet, Internet, MPLS, and LTE. The ability to manage redundant networks with a single device via dual fail-safe hardware capabilities. This allows for simpler installation at lower cost for enterprises. Dynamic WAN Selection capabilities to maximize the value of multiple network combinations (such as dual MPLS access, dual service providers or MPLS + Internet) by unifying application performance and ensuring the optimum usage of each available path between sites. Ipanema Technologies announced the latest version of its Autonomic Networking System (ANS), ANS 8, providing increased visibility and control for Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Office 365 and GoogleApps. With this release of the Ipanema ANS version 8, enterprises can regain control of application usages and ensure adoption for Microsoft Lync (on-premise and on-line), GoogleApps or Microsoft Office 365 a unique integrated platform that: Guarantees the performance of each and every individual critical application flow; Dynamically adapts to the real usage and conditions of the network such as congestion, quality of MPLS or Internet, number of employees and evolution of usage; Differentiates, prioritizes and delivers granular visibility for Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Office 365 and Google Apps sub-features according to their business criticality; Manages inbound internet traffic to protect critical SaaS applications from recreational Web traffic; Delivers 'Zero touch' installation of its appliances in branch-offices, and automatically updates network topology by self-learning new network subnets. ANS 8 also reduces Ipanema partners' cost of operations by simplifying on-site installation, reducing deployment & in-life operations workloads by around 50 per cent, cutting time to service enablement and avoiding configuration errors.
KBC Partners with Ipanema Technologies to adopt Microsoft Lync Online and Microsoft Office 365

KBC partnered with Ipanema Technologies to ensure full and quick adoption of Microsoft Lync online and Microsoft Office 365. The objective was to increase employees productivity and give the business the flexibility to introduce quick new business applications. This objective had to be obtained without a negative impact on the network and telecom costs. Ipanema Technologies helped KBC to guarantee business application performance and allow the IT department to dynamically adapt to new usages. KBC sought to reduce operational costs and provide employees with better integrated services in order to improve productivity. KBC partnered with Ipanema on several key IT initiatives to achieve these goals: Deploy Microsoft Lync Online and Microsoft Office 365, Foster employees collaboration and mobility, Improve IT department flexibility faster troubleshooting and application deployment, Reduce IT costs by reviewing the global infrastructure, avoiding non-justified bandwidth upgrades and moving to Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Office 365 applications in the cloud. The Ipanema solution was deployed in 827 bank branches, which will allow KBC to quickly adapt to IT changes. KBC experienced a smooth roll-out of Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Office 365 within six months. Besides that, a new BYOD policy has been developed during the summer, allowing employees to work from every place, every device, increasing mobility and productivity. The smooth adoption of Microsoft Lync was evidenced by P2P sessions reaching 140,000 per week and Microsoft Lync conferences increasing from 92 to 3,700 per week.
