Foundation Medical Partners Announces New Appointments

Foundation Medical Partners announced that Bill Geary and Michael Greeley are joining as General Partners. Based in the newly formed Boston office, Bill Geary, previously a General Partner at North Bridge Venture Partners, and Michael Greeley, most recently a General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners, are well known and respected in the healthcare technology industry. The General Partners also announced three Executive Partners, available as resources to its portfolio companies: Kevin Sharer, former CEO of Amgen; Chris Kryder, Founder and former CEO of D2Hawkeye, which merged to form Verisk Health; and Tom Mac Mahon, former CEO of LabCorp. Bill Geary joins Foundation Medical Partners after a 20-year career at North Bridge Venture Partners. While at North Bridge, Bill focused primarily on healthcare technology and software, with representative investments including eBenX, Connance, Healthrageous, Humedica, Infomedics, Pharmetrics, SynapDx and Valence Health. Prior to joining Foundation Medical Partners, Michael Greeley served as a Founding General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners where he led investments including BlueTarp Financial, MicroCHIPS, Predilytics, Predictive Biosciences, PolyRemedy, T2 Biosystems, TARIS Biomedical and VidSys.

Foundation Medical Partners Appoints Ted Laufik as Partner and Chief Financial Officer

Foundation Medical Partners hired Ted Laufik as a partner and chief financial officer. He will manage investments in the connected health and healthcare information technology sectors. Until 2011, he was partner and CFO at Morgenthaler. He was CFO since 1985 and partner since 1995.
