Conexant Brings Enhanced Voice Control Technologies to Home Appliances
Jul 9 13
Conexant Systems Inc. announced a partnership with LG Electronics (LG) for multi-phase integration of Conexant's industry-leading Far-Field Voice Input technology in LG's range of stylish, innovative and reliable home appliances such as air conditioners and vacuum robots. Conexant's Far-Field Voice Input Processing solutions provides clean, noise-free speech signals for voice-control of appliance settings, enabling highly accurate speech recognition for voice command and control at extremely low power. LG products with Conexant's technology were launched early this year in Korea. Conexant's Far-Field Voice Processing Suite -- a combination of algorithms including ambient noise reduction, de-reverberation and selective source pickup -- and Conexant's high-performance audio processors such as the CX20865 offer a feature set that is highly desired by Conexant's partners looking to provide consumers with a richer user experience.
Conexant Systems Inc. Launches New 4-Channel USB Voice Capture IC
Jun 12 13
Conexant Systems Inc. introduced the CX20820, its new high-performance USB voice capture IC targeted to voice interactive products, voice conferencing systems, Skype TV/STB webcam, and surveillance applications. The CX20820 is the industry's first USB Microphone analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with integrated preamplifier, gain calibration, and sync control. This product is a part of Conexant's extensive portfolio of Voice Capture Products, enabling a best-in-class performance. The isochronous, full-speed USB interface provides universal compatibility with major CE devices and appliances, making it easy to add voice capture capability to existing hardware and OS platforms. The integrated Sync Control feature eliminates clock jitter by synchronizing the ADC to the playback clock domain, a critical advantage for systems running acoustic echo cancellation algorithms. There are a total of four independent voice input channels with integrated anti-aliasing filters for microphone array applications. The major challenge with microphone arrays, which are used for voice localization and beamforming, is unmatched microphones in an assembled microphone module. This problem often leads to inaccurate estimation of the shape of the beam, and issues in noise suppression and precision localization. The CX20820 includes a self-gain calibration feature that corrects for the mismatch down to maximum 1 dB variance--another innovation in the CX20820 that stands out from the typical microphone ADC. The CX20820 is a purpose-built, four- channel microphone ADC designed to support voice-interactive applications that consumers are now expecting on their Smartphones and Smart TVs for casual use cases such as Wake-On-Voice, Voice Search, and Voice Control. Key features: Full speed, USB UAC interface; 16 bit, 4-channel ADCs; Internal Microphone Array Gain Calibration; Sync Control; 76 QFN ROHAS package. Early engineering samples are available in small quantities now at $1.50 each in 10Ku quantities.
Conexant Systems Inc. Introduces CX3000
Mar 6 13
Conexant Systems Inc. announced the CX3000, its new high-performance, ultra low-power, Class H headphone amplifier with I(2) C control. CX3000 is the first Class-H amplifier to drive up to 2.8V into matching high impedance headphones with 106dB SNR and 100+ dB THD. Additionally, it has an integrated impedance sense feature that enables dynamic power throttling to match different headphone transducers with the ideal drive strength and lowest power consumption. CX3000 is targeted to smartphones, music featured phones, PCs, portable media players, and audiophile-grade portable headphone amplifiers. Conexant's CX3000 is available now in a small, ROHS compliant, 16-ball WLCSP package. Pricing is $0.50 each in 50,000 quantities.
