Andersen Corporation Key Developments
Andersen Corporation announced the appointment of Greg Thompson as Marketing director of the Andersen Division effective May 30, 2013. In his new role, Thompson will be responsible for marketing of the company's flagship brand, including the Andersen Architectural Collection, storm doors, and Andersen(R) wood clad and composite windows and patio doors.
Andersen Corp. has realigned its window and door divisions and announced two promotions related to the retirement of a long-time corporate executive. The Bayport-based window manufacturer is simplifying its structure, combining three of its business units (traditional wood windows, high-end architectural windows, and storm doors) into one. It's keeping the Silver Line and Renewal by Andersen businesses in separate divisions. This change brings a stronger focus and accountability to the company's three main businesses. The company also announced the promotion of Holly Boehne to chief technology officer. Boehne had been senior vice president of research, development and innovation at Andersen since she joined Andersen in 2004.
Andersen Corporation announced the promotion of Holly Boehne to chief technology officer and Jerry Redmond to president of its Andersen Division. The changes are part of an organizational realignment following the planned retirement of Senior Vice President and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Craig Evanich. Boehne joined Andersen in September 2004 as senior vice president of Research, Development and Innovation. Her experience spans engineering, product development and commercialization, operations and lean management. In this new role, Boehne adds responsibility for Supply Chain Services. Prior to joining Andersen, Boehne served in leadership roles with Ecolab and Pillsbury. Redmond joined the company as senior vice president of Operations and Supply Chain Management in 2007 with responsibility for manufacturing, order management, logistics and procurement. Since then, he has integrated the supply chain, driven the Andersen Management System into manufacturing, and improved safety, quality and customer service. Prior to Andersen, Redmond headed Whirlpool Corporation's business in Mexico as its general director and as general manager in Canada.
