Infor Announces Sanford Health Implements Suite of Infor Human Capital Management Applications

Infor announced that Sanford Health will implement a suite of Infor Human Capital Management (HCM) applications to streamline and modernize functions across its network of more than 26,000 employees. HCM Applications tailored specifically for healthcare organizations, including Infor Talent Management and Infor Human Resource Management, will provide a unified solution that encompasses every aspect of the talent lifecycle. The unified HR solutions will help Sanford Health keep its critical workforce engaged and motivated, while supporting the organization's vision of improving human condition through exceptional care, innovation and discovery. The modern technology and robust, healthcare-specific functionality of the HCM solution is expected to help Sanford Health meet its strategic goals and simplify the conversion process.

South Dakota State University and Sanford Health Partner to Conduct Collaborative Research on Human Nutrition, Weight Management and Other Dietary-Related Areas

South Dakota State University and Sanford Health have partnered to conduct collaborative research on human nutrition, weight management and other dietary-related areas. This research will address key objectives of the Profile by Sanford ® program. Through the partnership, SDSU researchers will have opportunities to collaborate with investigators from Sanford Research on topics like metabolism, food choices and consumption, prenatal nutrition, genetics, food manufacturing and nutritional interactions with the human microbiome. Research findings relevant to Profile will be considered as the program evolves and expands. Sanford Health will provide $250,000 annually for five years for the seed-grant program. Also, SDSU is requesting an additional $200,000 through the South Dakota Board of Regents Research and Development Innovation program to bring the total collaboration with Sanford to $450,000 for the 2015 fiscal year.

Sanford Health Announces Management Restructuring; Seeks to Centralize in New Office Building Operations

Sanford Health is undergoing management restructuring aimed at saving the company $10 million a year. Fifty executives were offered early retirement or reassignment under the plan, and 38 accepted such moves. Senior Vice President and COO Becky Nelson and Chief Medical Officer Bruce Pitts are among those taking early retirement. The remaining 12 will be bought out by the company. The company is also seeking to centralize in a new office building operations including pharmacy and laboratory services, home health care and the rural hospital network. The company expects to see opportunities for M&A in the near future and is considering expansion to the west.
