The law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl is expanding its Chicago office with five new attorneys, one of whom has been named the office's new managing partner. Three partners and an associate have left Chicago firm Thompson Coburn for Dinsmore. They'll join an associate from Larson & Associates.Thompson Coburn partner Robert 'Bobby' Lucas - a former Dinsmore attorney - will be the new managing partner of Dinsmore's Chicago office. Lucas is a graduate of Xavier University and earned his J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. He spent five years working as an associate for Dinsmore in Cincinnati. In addition to leading the Chicago office, Lucas will practice in the firm's Corporate Department, where he will focus on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, securities offerings and secured lending transactions. Joining Lucas from Thompson Coburn are partners Timothy Binetti and Michael Jurasek, as well as associate Brittany Kirk. Binetti is joining the Litigation Department. He has experience as business and legal counselor to large financial services corporations, service companies and privately held businesses. Jurasek will practice out of the Corporate Department, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, wealth planning and general corporate law. Kirk is joining the Litigation Department, where she will be focusing her practice on financial services litigation and defense of lender liability claims. Nicole Daniel is joining Dinsmore from Larson & Associates. She will practice out of the Litigation Department, where she will focus on title insurance defense and real estate foreclosures.
